The ‘w’ sentence
makes the sentence sound thoughtful and knowledgeable
Remember the rule: not every ‘w’ word works as a sentence starter. Remember to put the comma in when the parts affected by your ‘w’ word are finished.
Examples- who, while, whereas, when, where, what, whilst, with
Examples- Whilst the class was eating, I read my book.
Where you like chocolate, others prefer candy.
Whilst the teacher was writing examples, the children were typing on their computers.
When did they leave, I thought they were leaving in an hour.
What goes around, comes around.
whilst everyone was working hard, I was pretending to work.
whereas it is a nice sunny day here, in Auckland it is overcast and cold.
Whereas you're from cold Auckland, I’m from sunny New Zealand.
