 Abomination didn’t get treated with simple human rights. He was kept in a cage his whole life until Martha told someone and he finally started to get treated like should after his mum took custody of him. He had never been outside or seen the sunlight and was spoon fed food and was still in nappies at the age of seven. He had no education and wasn't taught any words so he couldn’t say anything, resulting in him not being able to communicate with people or ask for help because he didn’t know how. He was basically taught that if he screams and makes a lot of noise then he might get fed.

How Technology Has Changed Watching Movies

 Technology has changed the way that we watch movies.

We no longer go to the DVD shop and rent out DVDs for the weekend. And no one goes out and buys DVDs to put in their DVD rack. No one uses DVD players as much any more.

DVD shops have gone out of business because no one was going to them anymore. People don't spend money going and buying DVDs. People now pay monthly subscriptions for things like Netflix, Disney plus and Hulu.

The way that we watch movies has changed so much no one watches DVDs nowadays everyone watches them using devices. 

What is Technology?

 Technology is a device that is powered by electricity and chips and batteries or something that is hand powered.

Summary of article
Who was involved?	In the book there are people and birds involved. The people involved to make the book are John Lennon, Jean Jullien and Yoko Ono Lennon.
What happened?	The birds are talking about how different the world would be if there were no countries and there was nothing to kill or nothing worth dying for. They talk about how better the world would be if there was peace in the world.
Where did it happen?	The story was set in the sky with the birds.
When did it happen?	The story is not a fiction story so there is no date set for when the event happened. The story was written in 1989

The rights are: The main rights in the story are world peace and less world hunger.

The responsibilities are: To live peacefully so that the world is one and aren’t so focused on themselves and to learn to share with others and to not be so greedy.

 Iqbal Masih’s story

Iqbal’s mother received a loan of 5000 rupees in Iqbal’s name  from his employer, (about $NZ200) after Iqbal had been working in a carpet factory in Pakistan for two years.  To repay the loan Iqbal had to work up to 12 hours a day, Six days a week on a carpet loam.  He was malnourished and often beaten. After six years of hard labour the debt had increased to 13000 rupees (NZ$518). In 1992, when he was 10 years old, Iqbal attended a meeting of the Bonded Labour Liberation Front (BLLF). Where, inspired by what he heard, he gave an impassioned speech about his life.  During the meeting he learnt about his rights and, with the help of a BLLF lawyer, drafted a letter of freedom , which he gave to the owner.  He never returned to the carpet factory. Instead, inspired, freedom inspired Iqbal to campaign for the human rights of other children caught in the trap of bonded labour.  For the next two years, he spoke out, campaigned and lobbied for an end to bondage, estimated to affect more than half a million children in Pakistan alone.

As Iqbal’s campaigning and profile increased, he started to receive more threats to his life. Such was his dedication and commitment, Iqbal refused to stop his campaigning.  In April 1995 while cycling near his home town, he was shot dead.

The suspicious circumstances surrounding his death fits a pattern of collusion between powerful business families, political groups and local police authorities, which has resulted in other threats and killings.  Despite an initial investigation, Iqbal’s murder remains unsolved.

People under 16 should not be allowed to drink energy drinks

 Energy drinks taste good but you might not be so quick to agree when you find out how much damage they actually cause. 

 Energy drinks are highly addictive. If you drink lots of energy drinks or if you drink it regularly and you try to quit by just stopping drinking it your body won’t be used to not having all of the extra energy making you tired which then causes all of your organs to shut down. Unfortunately by drinking too much, you can end up with dental problems, weight gain and the development of obesity and type 2 diabetes.Plus if you have an addiction to energy drinks then you’ll be buying a lot of them which then means that you’ll be spending a lot more money.

Parents and teachers  raised concerns about the impact that energy drinks have on children and young people in the school environment. One teacher said: “It makes the students too hyper and makes it way harder to teach them”.  If kids are hyper it makes it a lot harder for them to focus in class because they’re wanting to walk around a lot more causing them to fall behind on class work resulting in them ending up not getting as high grades which then results in them being held back a year. Kids are much more argumentative and talk back a lot more causing more stress on parents, guardians and teachers.

Drinking energy drinks causes extreme sugar intake. It was reported by Diabetes UK that over 7,000 under 25’s have type 2 diabetes which they think is caused by energy drinks. One 500ml can of Monster Origin contains 55 grams of free sugars. Energy drinks are acidic, and

frequently consuming them can discolour your teeth and wear out your enamel over time. Causing you to get dental issues such as cavities. Sugar-free energy drinks still contain just as much caffeine as ones with sugar. Artificial sweeteners have also been linked to an increased risk of type 2 diabetes. 

Energy drinks taste good but do you really want a drink to be in control of your health, your relationships and so much more.
